What should I do in case of damage?
In case of occurrence of the insured event, the insurers request that the claim file should include the following documents:
- Original documents delivered by the authorities (Police, Fire Department) in the case of traffic events that result in damage to third parties*
- Copy of the CASCO/RCA policy
- Power of attorney issued by Sogelease
- Vehicle registration certificate/ copy of the driving license, identity papers of the representative
- Statement
* As of January 1, 2009, the holders of a CASCO policy may notify their claims directly to the Insurer that issued the insurance policy, if
only their own vehicle was damaged.
Examples: Damage in the parking lot, with unknown author, break of the oil bath because of a hit or collision with an exterior body, damage of one’s own vehicle while in motion following failed manoeuvres
without damage to third parties, glass areas (windscreens, lateral windows, back windows) broken following the clash with an exterior body.
The lessee is in charge of filing the claim, and Sogelease/the insurance broker provides phone assistance.
The claim must be filed within 24 hours in case of theft, or within 48 hours in case of damage. In order to issue the
Power of attorney for claim, Sogelease requires the following documents:
1. Copy of the identity papers of the person who will file the claim;
2. A letter signed and stamped by the authorised person (the representative or administrator of the company), stating:
- the name of the lessee (according to the leasing contract) and the number of the leasing contract;
- The car registration number / chassis series;
- The manner in which the power of attorney is to be sent to the applicant (e.g. fax, mail, fast courier services).
The applicant shall send the documents required for the issuance of the
Power of attorney for claim, by fax, to the headquarters of:
- BRD Sogelease : 021.301.41.87 / 021.300.10.69 or
- the insurance broker of BRD Sogelease: 021.232. 21.02 / 021.232.19.13

What should I do to leave the country with the car?
According to the provisions of the leasing contract: “Where the Lessee wishes to take the Financed Asset outside the Romanian territory, such Lessee undertakes to send a prior notice to the Lessor in view of obtaining a Power of attorney. The Lessee shall not use the Financed Asset outside the Romanian territory without the prior written consent of the Lessor.”
In order to issue the power of attorney for leaving the country, BRD Sogelease requires the following documents:
1. Copy of the identity papers/passport of the person who goes abroad;
2. Copy of the Green Card and of the CASCO cover expansion if the Green Card is not issued by the same insurer that issued the CASCO, or if the Green Card does not cover all the countries in which the respective person will travel;
3. A letter signed and stamped by the authorised person (the representative or administrator of the company), stating:
- The applicant’s identification data
- The name of the lessee (according to the leasing contract) and the number of the leasing contract;
- The car registration number / chassis series
- The period for which the power of attorney for leaving the country is requested;
- The manner in which the power of attorney is to be sent to the applicant (e.g. fax, mail, fast courier services);
- The coordinates to which the power of attorney is to be sent (address, fax).
The applicant shall send the documents required for the issuance of the Power of attorney, by fax, to the headquarters of:
- BRD Sogelease : 021.301.41.87 / 021.300.10.69
- the insurance broker of BRD Sogelease: 021.232. 21.02 / 021.232.19.13

The power of attorney for leaving the country shall be requested at least 3 business days before the travel and it shall be released by BRD Sogelease within no more than 24 hours.

What should I do in case an invoice doesn't reach me in due time?
If an invoice doesn't reach you in due time, request a faxed copy to the Invoice Department in BRD Sogelease.

According to article 3.5. of the General Leasing Terms, "a missing invoice does not exonerate the client of leasing installment payment" on settled date of payment.

Why did I get a payment warning?
You receive the payment warning if installment payment to the BRD Sogelease account is not confirmed before the date warning is issued.

What is the invoice value date?
According to article 3.1. of the General Leasing Terms "invoices issued in Contract terms fall due the 7th calendar day from issuance".
Money must enter the BRD Sogelease account no later than the due date printed on invoice.
In case the due date is either a non-working day or a bank holiday, due date is reported to the first working day to follow (according to article 3.5. of the General Leasing Terms). In case of late payments, penalties are calculated by a daily charge of 0.3% outstanding payment value on period between due date and the date money enters the BRD Sogelease account..

When am I charged penalties and what are they?
Penalties are calculated for late payments only and detailed on next payment invoice.
In case of late payments, penalties are calculated by a daily charge of 0.3% outstanding payment value on period between due date and the date money enters the BRD Sogelease account.

What should be done if any of the data provided on closing the contract modifies?
BRD Sogelease must be notified in writing of any and all changes occurred during the leasing contract duration within 15 calendar days since modifications become effective.

- Changes of company address, name, and company fusion or division
- Transformation of company legal form
- Legal reorganization, bankruptcy
- Change of account number etc.
The user is required to submit to BRD Sogelease all necessary documents.
